This course provides instruction in the safe and appropriate use of resistance bands for strength training. Students will participate in a balanced strength training program that includes upper body, lower body, and core exercises using resistance bands, and body weight exercises. Students will be introduced to the concepts of correct body position, alignment, and tempo.
This is an 8-week course meant for students who are comfortable with basic strength training movements and are looking to learn more about the process of getting stronger with guidance from an experienced professional. Students may use their own equipment (dumbbells, barbells, racks, kettlebells, bands etc.), or may purchase the recommended resistance band set.
Prerequisites: 1 year of experience strength training or completion of Resistance Training Level 1 or Circuit Weight Training 1
