PHYSICAL EDUCATION C129 - Human Physiological Assessment [3 units] (also listed as Integrative Biology C129L)
Prerequisites: Bio 1B, MCB 36 or IB 132 (may be taken concurrently); Senior/Junior IB or MCB majors
Two hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory per week.
This course examines the principles, theories and application of human physiological assessment in relation to physical activity, methodology of testing, and the design of conditioning programs for health, fitness and performance. The laboratory activities include procedures to measure and interpret physiological fitness (e.g., cardio-respiratory endurance, body composition, musculoskeletal fitness).
