Ballet
A classical dance form based on line, grace, flexibility and strength. Basic structure of the classes includes: barre, center and across the floor combinations all performed to classical piano music. Ballet slippers/leotards/tights recommended; check with the individual instructor.
Level 1:
Students will learn and practice the basic movement vocabulary focusing on barre work and center work, stretching and strength, graceful line, balance and body awareness.
Level 2:
In this class, students will expand the Level 1 dance vocabulary to include more challenging combinations, footwork and pirouettes.
Level 3:
This level is for the skilled dancer. It is a faster paced class with longer, more intricate steps, multiple turns and jumps. The focus is on clear, expressive dancing and improving musicality and technique.
