Core & Yoga - All Levels
Cross training is an exercise regimen that integrates core conditioning and yoga to achieve and maintain a higher level of overall fitness and prevent overuse syndrome from repetitive skill sets performed in a specific sport or fitness activity. Core conditioning emphasizes compound calisthenic/functional movements primarily with concentric (shortening) of the muscle while yoga poses are performed using eccentric (lengthening) muscle contraction. The two types of muscle training including the variability of stress, resistance, angles and planes of movement complement each other and can increase strength, power, speed, endurance, agility, and balance.
