Attendance at
the first class meeting is needed
HEARST SERVICE CENTER LOCKER USAGE (Please
read)
Students enrolled in Physical Education activity classes and individuals
using the facility on a recreational basis who desire an assigned locker
or board lock at Hearst Gym are required to use locks provided by the
Hearst Service Center (room 110).
Towel Policy: You will need to present a valid U.C. picture identification card to check out a towel on a daily basis. Each individual will be given one Towel. If you require additional towels, feel free to bring them from home. IMPORTANT:
If you are issued a semester lock, you will find your lock on a
designated locker or board inside the lockerroom.
All locks must be returned to the Hearst
Service Center (110) by the due date stamped on your locker assignment
card at the end of the semester or you will be charged a $25.00 fee.
If you drop your activity class you must clear your locker and return
the lock to the Hearst Service Center counter.
Do not bring valuables or large amounts of cash. Use lockers at your own risk. Physical Education does not accept responsibility for thefts from locked lockers. ATTENDANCE Attendance is an important component of the sequential instruction in each activity. Absences will impact successful completion of a class regardless of the choice of grading option (letter grade or pass/no pass). See the instructor of the class for the specifics regarding attendance.
Adding a Class 1. Students are limited to enrollment in one class during Phase I of TeleBears. 2. A second class may be added during Phase II. 3. Students admitted to a class from the wait list should enroll with the CEC before the end of the third week to avoid the filing fine.
It is the student's responsibility to drop any unwanted class through TeleBears or by petition.
If you attempt to sign up for a class and the class is full, show up the first day of class and try to add your name to the waiting list. There is a possibility, depending on student drops, etc., that you'll be added to the class. If you receive a "your departmental priority category is full" error, it means that only a certain number of spaces were reserved for each category (i.e. Freshman, Sophomore, etc.) and your category has been filled. Try to add your name to the waiting list of the intended class. If the waiting list is full, crash the course by showing up on the first day of the class.
You may be marked by the instructor of a course if you do not attend every class meeting during the first two weeks of instruction or if you do not have the required skills for the level of the class being taught. (Please see the Physical Education Program Class Description levels.) The instructor cannot drop the class from your academic schedule, but your space will be filled by someone from the waiting list. |
