Yongmudo/Korean Self-defense

Level 1:

This class will introduce martial arts warm-up and warm-down exercises; the safety factors of martial arts instruction; basic stance, principles of techniques including the theory of defense. Included will be understanding of the physical, mental and technical factors of training. Skills will include elementary movements of escape method, twist, kick, punch, block and throw.

Level 2:

Instruction will continue with defensive movements, combination of block and counter techniques of punch, kick, joint twist, throw and pressure point strategy. There will be repetition and correction of basic skills with controlled sparring, and an introduction to sequential training and the development of Yongmudo as life-long training.
