Aerobic Circuit Training

Aerobic Circuit Training

Students perform a "circuit" of 10-15 exercises using jump ropes, steps, exercise bands/balls and hand weights designed to improve cardiovascular and muscular endurance, flexibility, and muscular strength/toning. Students learn 1) the purpose and principles of warm-up, work-out, and cool-down; 2) the use of estimated target heart rates for cardiovascular improvement; and 3) proper techniques for a variety of aerobic and strength-building exercises. A primary objective of this class is to teach the student proper and safe exercise techniques along with the principles of aerobic conditioning.
